In the field of environmental and Engineering Geology, Ise-Net offers services to monitor and where possible prevent environmental disasters, ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of resource exploitation.
Thanks to the versatility of the technologies and a multidisciplinary approach that characterizes us, we develop specific studies in several areas.
Hydro-Geological and aquifer engineering problems, concern various aspects and applications.
We provide hydrogeological exploration studies, of quality and quantity of water resources for wells projects; geochemical characterization of waters, analysis conducted in situ with portable instruments, or with the help of equipped laboratories.
A further operational scope is the study and project of the securing of contaminated aquifers.
We also consider the interference related to large-scale works like aspects linked to the implementation of temporary or permanent dewatering.
We study and dimension wells and geothermal plants, with particular reference to heat pump systems.
Within geological field, we treat the prevention of hydrogeological risk, in particular, we evaluate torrents and slope dynamics, based on analysis and application of specific models of fluid dynamics and physics (avalanche phenomena, lava flows, debris flows).
We also carry out tracking tests to detect the limits of a hydrogeological system, understanding how they work and planning any civil and environmental engineering.

Thanks to the integrated Laser Scanner with dual frequency GPS, we can achieve extremely precise and accurate data on the surface of beaches and cliffs. With following recordings and scanned data relating to the wider geological context, we can calculate the rate of decrease and volume loss of beaches over a period of time to describe coastal erosion and obtain highly reliable models.
We also take care of planning of the coastal aquifers securing with particular reference to the problems of control of salt intrusion.
Often the study of volcanoes is limited by problems related to the accessibility of sites and to the safety of operators.
The experience gained on Etna in collaboration with ”Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV)”,allowed us to optimize the necessary techniques in a complex and critical environment such as a volcano.
Today our techniques for surveying are quick and run in complete safety thanks to laser scanning and photogrammetric techniques from drone or by helicopter.
We can process models that highlight the rocky outcrops and photograph the evolution processes of volcanic structure in time and space.
DEBRIS FLOWS, LANDSLIDES AND COLLAPSES IN ROCK
Our fluid-dynamic models allow us to keep monitored the evolution of debris flows, landslides and rock collapses, offering a fundamental tool for the prevention of risks. The processed products are also a starting point for the study of passive protection, in order to fence areas that present a high residual risk, and active protection, preventing the landslides or limiting the effects.

For monitoring mining activities we use instruments integrated with GIS techniques that allow to track some critical issues related to the extraction process. In particular, through the adoption of new engineering techniques, we are able to asset the production performance of sites supporting management’s team and monitoring of water resources.
Such solutions allow customers to perform measurements even “remotely”, reducing the times for subsequent interventions in situ, avoiding the operator exposure to accidents and ensuring extremely accurate results.
For monitoring of rivers we offer topographic relief and two or three-dimensional models to describe the erosion, transport, sediment accumulation and all those phenomena that determine the fluvial geomorphology.
The elaborated products, integrated with hydraulic models, identify with high precision the extent of areas subject to flooding, strategic in case urban planning.
Traditional geodetic techniques often do not have enough resolution to detect any anomalies in the development of landfills in sufficient time to prevent serious damage. To overcome these limitations, we employ all instruments allowing us to locate point related phenomena such as superficial dislocations (excavations and surfacing) and set up monitoring systems to asset the safety of underlying aquifers.
SNOW, GLACIERS AND AVALANCHE
From SWE (Snow Water Equivalent), we offer analysis and models that are fundamental to ensure the security of the territory i.e. the calculation of the amount of water contained in the snow, avalanche dynamic models, and glaciers analysis. Our calculations are also useful for the management of water resources, especially in the presence of hydroelectric plants.
