The terrestrial Laser Scanner is an innovative tool for high precision 3D surveys.
Can be considered as a highly automated motorized total station, can acquire millions of points in minutes, minimizing the time, offering very high quality standards.
The architecture of this technology is based on the calculation of the flight time (time-of-flight) of a laser pulse.
Our Laser Scanner (architectural and environmental) is able to detect the environment/scene investigated, allowing reconstructing in detail the geometry of different elements: small objects, to major infrastructure, up to entire mountain basins.
In particular we use the brand new 4000, model Riegl VZ-ever more powerful in terms of reach among all those available on the domestic and international markets.

With a span of over 4000 m, a scanning speed up 147,000 points per second and a field of view of 360° horizontal and vertical 60° the instrument in our possess is the most powerful in terms of spatial coverage.
This feature allows us to, in a single scan, to reach an effective diameter of 8000 m for a total of 50 square kilometers.
Can be easily transported in inaccessible areas thanks to the rucksack that we designed.
Does not require complex wiring to operate as it integrates internal PC, digital camera 5Mpx with 85 mm, internal memory SSD and GPS module; the whole thing can be installed directly on a classic surveying tripod.
Registration of target with accuracy greater than 10 mm, thanks to a beam divergence of only 0, 15mrad, a record value for the scope of action, which allows us to detect valuable details accurately.
These characteristics, coupled with dual-frequency GPS positioning, high sensitivity in receiving signal return (which provides great contrasts) and very low noise floor, allow stunning results with very precise details.
It is possible to generate point clouds both in grayscale (index of reflectivity) and colour (digital camera).
During Analysis, the presence of internal digital camera allows a great reduction of the long calibration that normally occur with similar tools.
The tool can evolve at any time without requiring complex interventions, only adding the necessary options. For example: the scan mobile base inside buildings or large industrial complexes, external digital camera resolution to improve the quality of the texture or the thermal cameras.
Laser Class 1 under all conditions of use (completely eye safe even with magnification optics or laser beam by repeatedly hitting the same point).
In some cases, we propose to combine the Laser Scanner with Photogrammetry Techniques performed by land, from helicopters or UAVS, i.e. the aircraft commonly known as drones.
Once acquired data, we can process 3D models with greater fidelity, which have the advantage of highlighting any anomalies present on natural elements or infrastructures.
The Laser Scanner is a very useful tool for preventing hydrogeological disasters, for monitoring the status of maintenance of systems and conservation of cultural and artistic treasures.
